Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penerapan metode latihan reaction time test terhadap peningkatan kecepatan reaksi visual pada atlet sepak bola persik kendal. Kecepatan reaksi visual merupakan faktor kunci dalam pengambilan keputusan yang cepat di lapangan sepak bola, seperti merespons pergerakan bola atau lawan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Sebelum mengikuti program latihan, waktu reaksi visual atlet diukur menggunakan reaction time test yang melibatkan stimulus visual berupa cahaya atau pergerakan objek yang harus segera direspons. Program latihan dilakukan selama empat minggu dengan variasi kecepatan dan jenis stimulus visual, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan atlet dalam merespons stimulus dengan lebih cepat. Setelah program latihan selesai, dilakukan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan waktu reaksi atlet. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t untuk membandingkan perbedaan waktu reaksi sebelum dan setelah latihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kecepatan reaksi visual atlet sepak bola Persik Kendal setelah menjalani program latihan ini. Peningkatan waktu reaksi visual ini diharapkan dapat berdampak pada peningkatan performa di lapangan, khususnya dalam hal pengambilan keputusan yang cepat dan tepat.
Abstract
This study aims to test the application of the reaction time test training method to improve visual reaction speed in Persik Kendal soccer athletes. Visual speed is a key factor in making quick decisions on the soccer field, such as reacting to the movement of the ball or opponents. The method used in this study is an experiment with a pre-test and post-test design. Before following the training program, the visual reaction time of athletes was measured using a react time test involving visual stimuli in the form of light or object movement that must be responded to immediately. The training program was carried out for four weeks with variations in speed and type of visual stimulus, aiming to improve athletes' ability to respond to stimuli more quickly. After the training program was completed, a post-test was conducted to measure changes in athletes' reaction time. The data obtained were analyzed using a t-test to compare the difference in reaction time before and after training. The results showed a significant increase in the visual reaction speed of Persik Kendal soccer athletes after undergoing this training program. The expected increase in visual reaction time can have an impact on improving performance on the field, especially in terms of making quick and accurate decisions
