Abstract
Keselamatan terhadap bahaya kebakaran adalah tindakan pencegahan yang dimaksudkan untuk mencegah atau mengurangi kemungkinan kebakaran yang dapat menyebabkan insiden keselamatan yang merugikan atau perusakan properti . Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini, pengabdi memberikan penyuluhan terkait evakuasi kebakaran pada gedung bertingkat. Pengabdian dilakukan dilakukan di Gedung Kantor Bupati Bengkulu Tengah. Kegiatan penyampaian materi dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Oktober 2021 di Ruang Rapat Sekda Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Kegiatan PPM dilaksanakan dengan penyampaian materi mengenai definisi kebakaran, cara mempersiapkan diri menghadapi gempa bumi, serta cara evakuasi pada saat kebakaran terjadi. Tim PPM memutuskan untuk melaksanakan penyuluhan di tempat ini berdasarkan hasil pengamatan tim yag menilai masih minimnya ketersediaan sistem pengendali kebakaran (sprinkler, alat pemadam api, pendeteksi asap, dll) di lokasi PPM. Strategi yang digunakan adalah dengan upaya edukatif berupa penyampaian materi kepada pengguna gedung. Kedepannya kegiatan ini akan diikuti dengan kegiatan-kegiatan lanjutan yang akan terus berkembang dan meng-reinforce materi yang telah diberikan.
