Ecological citizenship is an approach that emphasizes the role of individuals in understanding, preserving, and managing the environment in a sustainable manner. This study aims to analyze various approaches in integrating the concept of ecological citizenship into education as well as raising public awareness. The method used is a literature study by analyzing as many as 23 scientific articles from various journals through the Google Scholar search menu on the Publish or Perish (PoP) application. The results of the study show that education plays an important role in building ecological awareness both through formal, non-formal, and community-based education. Technological approaches such as Virtual Reality (VR) and digital platforms have proven effective in increasing ecological understanding, while social movements and environmental policies have also strengthened the implementation of this concept. However, there are still challenges such as low community participation, lack of policy support, and limited resources. Therefore, a collaborative strategy is needed between governments, educational institutions, and communities to strengthen effective and sustainable ecological citizenship.
Anggun Lestari, Afandi, Eka Ariyati Copyright (c) 2025 Anggun Lestari, Afandi, Eka Ariyati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/44821 Wed, 17 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Pengembangan Modul Ajar IPA Berbasis Tradisi Tedhak Siten Materi Pertumbuhan Dan Perkembangan Kelas IX SMP/MTs https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/44774
This research aimed to develop a science teaching module based on ethnoscience by integrating the local tradition of Tedhak Siten as an innovative approach to learning. It seeks to improve the understanding of scientific concepts through a contextual approach that is relevant to the local culture, to spark students' interest in science, and to strengthen the local cultural identity within the educational process. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model approach (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research stage in this study only reached the Development stage. This module was designed to integrate concepts of growth and development in science with the cultural values of the Tedhak Siten tradition, making learning more contextual and relevant to students' lives. Based on data analysis, the validation results showed that the module received an average score of 94% from content experts and 96.4% from media experts, categorized as “highly valid” and not requiring revision. Therefore, this teaching module is declared fit for use in teaching science to grade IX students in SMP/MTs.
Risma Amelia, Henry Setya Budhi Copyright (c) 2025 Risma Amelia, Henry Setya Budhi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/44774 Tue, 16 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of the ReCODE Learning Model on Students' Critical Thinking Skills and Scientific Literacy https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/43848
This study aimed to develop students' critical thinking skills and scientific literacy. The sample of this study was divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The data collection technique was carried out through 5 essay questions for each variable, namely critical thinking skills and scientific literacy skills. The results of the t-test showed that sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 was smaller than 0.05, which means there was an influence on the critical thinking skills and scientific literacy of MTsN 2 Kaur students. Teachers are advised to start implementing the ReCODE model gradually, especially in science learning that emphasizes conceptual understanding and high-level thinking. Schools and policy makers are expected to provide support in the form of adequate training and learning facilities.
Endah Suwita Ningsih, Nopriyeni, Meti Herlina Copyright (c) 2025 Endah Suwita Ningsih, Nopriyeni, Meti Herlina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/43848 Tue, 16 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Guided Discovery Learning Terhadap Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa Kelas X Pada Materi Struktur Atom https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/44750
This study aims to determine the effect of the Guided Discovery Learning model on the creative thinking skills of Class X students in the topic of atomic structure at SMA Negeri 6 Pematangsiantar. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with participants consisting of Science Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Bengkulu, who had completed the Biochemistry course. The instruments used included validation questionnaires, readability tests, and pretest posttest assessments. Validation results indicated that the media was categorized as highly feasible, with scores of 73 and 56 for material and media aspects, respectively. The readability test produced an average score of 83.67, falling into the “very good” category. In terms of learning outcomes, both groups showed improvement. In the control class, the average score increased from 34.52 to 76.54 (N-gain 0.64), while in the experimental class it rose from 35.46 to 80.23 (N-gain 0.69). These findings demonstrate that the Cardrat media, based on a learning-by-asking approach and supported by App Inventor, is more effective in enhancing learning compared to conventional methods.
Mellyta Uliyandari, Sutarno, Nirwana Copyright (c) 2025 Mellyta Uliyandari, Sutarno, Nirwana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/44746 Tue, 16 Sep 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Potret Proses Pembelajaran Fisika Kelas X SMA Di Kabupaten Sikka https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/pendipa/article/view/44491
This study aims to analyze the physics learning process in grade X of senior high schools in Sikka Regency, focusing on learning approaches, student engagement, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors during the learning activities. Based on observations and interviews that have been carried out, the current ecoliteracy skills of students are still not optimal, so this study aims to describe the results of validation from experts and readability tests by students on the development of ecoliteracy-based pocket books for junior high school students in grade VII on the material of interactions between living things and the environment. This study uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development model, implemented at a Public Junior High School in Serang City with a sample of 30 grade VII students. The analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively with the results of the study showing that ecoliteracy-based pocket books have a "very valid" level of validity.
