The Influence of Organizational Culture and Work Motivation on Employee Performance in the General Section of the Regional Secretariat Bengkulu Tengah Regency

Abstract

Organizational Culture and Work Motivation are factors that affect the performance appraisal of an employee. The General Section is one of the subdivisions in the Regional Secretariat of Bengkulu Tengah Regency. This section is one of many other subsections that have their respective duties in assisting the performance of the Regent. The researcher chose this subsection because the General Section has more employees than the other subsections. In addition, this subsection has more work than other subsections. This study used a quantitative approach method with the number of respondents assessed as many as 60 respondents from 99 employees in the General Section of the Regional Secretariat of Bengkulu Tengah Regency. In the assessment for aspects of Organizational Culture, there are seven indicators, namely Attention to Detail, Result Orientation, Human Orientation, Team Orientation, Aggressiveness, Stability, and Innovation & Risk Taking. As for the Work Motivation aspect, there are three indicators, namely Achievement Needs, Relationship Needs and Strength Needs. For aspects of Employee Performance, assessment indicators consist of Work Quality, Work Quantity, Cooperation, Responsibility and Initiative. The research results obtained are that Organizational Culture and Work Motivation have an Influence on Employee Performance, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted with an influence value of 66.7% for the influence of Organizational Culture and 14.5% for the influence of Work Motivation.
