Abstract
This research is motivated by the excessive use of smartphones among 11th-grade students at SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu, which has led to indications of phubbing behavior among students. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of group counseling services using self-management techniques to reduce phubbing behavior in students. This study employs an experimental method with a two-group pre-test post-test control group design. The population of this study consists of 169 students, with a sample of 10 students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis technique used is the t-test (paired sample t-test). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of group counseling services using self-management techniques in reducing students' phubbing behavior.
