Abstract
Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan efektivitas self efficacy dalam mengoptimalkan kecerdasandan prestasi belajar peserta didik dengan cara mengkaji beberapa literature. Rasa percaya atau yang lebih dikenal dengan self efficacy ini memiliki peranan yang sangat penting. Jika peserta didik memiliki self efficacy yang tinggi maka peserta didik dapat menggunakan kecerdasannya secara maksimal sehingga berpengaruh juga terhadap tingginya prestasi belajar. Sebaliknya, jika peserta didik mempunyai self efficacy yang rendah, maka penggunakan kecerdasan juga tidak optimal dan berdampak juga pada rendahnya prestasi belajar. Selain itu, kecerdasan juga tidak dapat berdiri sendiri, ia membutuhkan self efficacy sebagai pendukung. Sedangkan self efficacy dapat berdiri sendiri karena di dalamnya terdapat usaha, keyakinan, dan kepercayaan diri untuk mencapai hasil yang maksimal.
