Abstract

Students' self-esteem is a key aspect in personal development, playing a vital role in shaping their self-perception and their ability to face life's challenges. In many schools, especially at the middle school level like Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Bengkulu City, many students encounter obstacles in developing positive self-esteem. Factors such as academic pressure, social interactions, and social comparison often undermine students' self-confidence. Recognizing the need to enhance students' self-esteem at MTs Roudhotul Rosmani, this community service aims to introduce and implement cinema-based art counseling as an innovative approach in group counseling services. By combining cinema and art, it is expected that students can better understand themselves, improve their self-esteem, and address issues that hinder their personal development. The community service methodology includes planning, implementation, and evaluation phases. The service team consists of counselors and students who guide participants in self-exploration through cinema-based group counseling. This community service provides tangible evidence that art, especially in the context of cinema, can be an effective tool in self-improvement and student empowerment.
