Abstract

Chemistry is one of the subjects that requires learning activities through practicum in the laboratory. Problems that arise in the process of maintaining laboratory equipment and materials are errors in the arrangement of tools and materials. The results of observations found at one of the YPK High Schools in Jayapura show that the arrangement and storage of chemical laboratory equipment is not good. The purpose of this service activity is to reorganize chemical laboratory equipment. Service activities are carried out starting from observation, preparation, implementation, and reporting. Activities for arranging laboratory equipment include several activities, namely 1) removing and cleaning the tools in the cabinet. 2) Clean and tidy up charts and store sealed chemical tools. 3) Inventory, arrange and organize tools into cabinets. At the reporting stage, the service team processes the data obtained and analyzes the data descriptively. Equipment arrangement is carried out by grouping tools based on their size and use, based on the source of damage, the level of risk of falling objects or tools, the weight/weight of the tool, and based on rarely or often used. Tools are put into cabinets to be arranged according to function and type. Chemical laboratory equipment arrangement activities went well.
