Abstract
The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the economy,
particularly rice farming, which is the main source of income for
rural communities. This study aims to analyze the income and
feasibility of rice farming in Kampung Bogor Village, Kepahiang
District, Kepahiang Regency. The method used in this study is
descriptive analysis with data collection techniques through
questionnaires and interviews with 76 respondents selected
purposively. The results of the study show that the average income
of rice farmers in Kampung Bogor Village reaches Rp 23,036,265
per hectare per planting season. With an income-to-cost ratio (R/C
ratio) of 3, it indicates that rice farming in this village is
economically viable for development. The income earned by farmers
exceeds the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) and contributes
positively to their well-being. Therefore, rice farming in Kampung
Bogor Village is proven to be economically viable and has the
potential for sustainability.
