Eco-Fishing Port: Solusi Pengelolaan Pelabuhan Perikanan Berkelanjutan di PPP Wonokerto Kabupaten Pekalongan
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The degradation of fish resources and environmental ecosystems in the Coastal Fishing Port (PPP) Wonokerto area has made the PPP Wonokerto an environmentally unfriendly fishing port. This condition needs to be addressed immediately (urgently), otherwise it will have the following impacts: the sustainability of fish resources is threatened with extinction; fishermen have difficulty getting fish catches so their income decreases; economic growth slows; and fishermen poverty. These conditions need to be addressed with the idea of change actions through the management of an environmentally friendly Fishing Port or Eco-Fishing Port (EFP). This research (change actions) aims to realize the management of the PPP Wonokerto that is more environmentally friendly and sustainable. ASTRID analysis is used to obtain key strategic issues. In the organizational diagnosis to identify components that need intervention, Leavitt's Model analysis is used. The results of the research (change actions) indicate that the less environmentally friendly Fishing Port is a major strategic issue. The task component is the component that most needs intervention. Alternative solutions to the problem that can be done are: the formation of an effective team to strengthen the delegation of port management tasks; socialization of SDI and environmental sustainability; switching to the use of more environmentally friendly fishing gear; creation of a mangrove nursery; mangrove rehabilitation/planting; coastal community empowerment; and monitoring and evaluation of the eco-fishing port implementation. In conclusion, the PPP Wonokerto is managing more environmentally friendly and sustainable projects through the implementation of the eco-fishing port concept.
