Abstract

Latar Belakang: Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolik akibat adanya kelainan pada proses sekresi insulin, kerja insulin, ataupun keduanya sehingga tubuh mengalami hiperglikemia kronis. Insulin dihubungkan dengan massa lemak viseral. Massa lemak viseral berkontribusi terhadap inflamasi, aterosklerosis, dislipidemia, dan hipertensi. Kurangnya aktivitas fisik pada pasien DM tipe 2 menyebabkan peningkatan risiko komplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran aktivitas fisik terhadap massa lemak visceral pada pasien DM tipe 2.


Metode: Pencarian tinjauan bersumber pada PubMed dan Cochrane dengan kriteria dipublikasikan pada 2010-2020. Pengumpulan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan mengadopsi konsep Cook dan West. Penilaian kualitas kepustakaan dilakukan menggunakan tools The Central for Evidence-Based Medicine develops (CEBM). Hasil: Dari total 8.279 kepustakaan yang didapatkan, terdapat sebelas kepustakaan yang masuk ke dalam kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Sepuluh dari sebelas kepustakaan membahas pengaruh aktivitas fisik terhadap massa lemak visceral. Lima diantaranya menyatakan bahwa aktivitas fisik dengan intensitas sedang 3-5 kali dalam seminggu berpengaruh dalam penurunan massa lemak visceral pada pasien DM tipe 2. Sepuluh dari sebelas kepustakaan menggambarkan rerata massa lemak visceral pada pasien DM tipe 2. Mayoritas pengukuran massa lemak visceral dilakukan dengan menggunakan CT.


Kesimpulan: Aktivitas fisik intensitas sedang secara signifikan berperan dalam menurunkan massa lemak visceral, mengontrol kadar gula darah, dan memperbaiki sensitivitas insulin pada pasien DM tipe 2.
