Abstract
Latar Belakang: Rinosinusitis kronis (RSK) lazim dijumpai pada populasi dunia dengan prevalensi ~7-30%. Survei skala nasional di Amerika melalui CDC tahun 2014 menemukan bahwa 12.3% dewasa menderita RSK. Kondisi RSK mengganggu kualitas hidup penderitanya karena menyebabkan obstruksi hidung, iritasi, penurunan kemampuan menghindu, sulit tidur dan pilek terus menerus. Tatalaksana RSK berupa medikamentosa dapat diberikan, namun apabila tidak ada perbaikan optimal, pembedahan harus dipertimbangkan. Pembedahan menggunakan teknik bedah sinus endoskopi fungsional (BSEF) terbukti dalam beberapa penelitian membantu meringankan gejala dan memperbaiki kualitas hidup pasien RSK. Kuisioner SNOT-22 telah digunakan pada RSK pasca pembedahan untuk melihat hasil pasca operasi. Pada tinjauan ini, peneliti ingin mengeksplorasi dampak kualitas hidup pasien RSK yang menjalani BSEF.
Metode: Pubmed, Cochrane, dan Scopus ditelusuri untuk tinjauan kepustakaan sistematis ini. Penulis menyaring studi dengan judul yang sama atau yang tidak menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Penulis melakukan screening abstrak sebelum membaca keseluruhan teks kepustakaan. Penulis menggunakan instrument yang sudah tervalidasi dari CEBM untuk menelusuri kualitas studi.
Hasil: Dua artikel dipilih setelah proses penyaringan 470 artikel. Tatalaksana BSEF memberikan perbaikan signifikan pada empat domain dalam SNOT-22. Hasil SNOT-22 kelompok pasien RSK dengan/tanpa polip hidup menunjukkan bahwa kelompok tersebut mengalami perbaikan kualitas hidup yang signifikan. Outcome serupa juga didapatkan pada pasien RSK unilateral dan bilateral.
Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan tinjauan sistematis yang dilakukan, terdapat perbaikan gejala dan kualitas hidup setelah bedah sinus endoskopi fungsional pada rinosinusitis kronik.
