Abstract
Latar Belakang : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) adalah penyakit kronis yang terjadi akibat pankreas tidak memproduksi cukup insulin atau tubuh tidak dapat menggunakan insulin yang diproduksi secara efektif sehingga bila dibarengi dengan komplikasi maka akan memperparah kondisi dan berdampak pada malnutrisi. Pasien yang mengalami malnutrisi lebih lama dirawat di rumah sakit dibandingkan mereka yang memiliki status gizi normal. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya pengukuran status gizi untuk melakukan terapi nutrisi medis. Malnutrisi juga dapat diketahui dari parameter biokimia. Albumin merupakan salah satu penanda status malnutrisi pada keadaan klinis pasien yang stabil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kadar albumin dan lama hari rawat inap pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus.
Metode : Penelitian ini bersifat analitik dengan pendekatan crossectional study yang melibatkan 56 responden pasien penyakit ulkus diabetes mellitus yang menjalani rawat inap di RSUD Dr M Yunus Bengkulu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di ruang rekam medis dengan mengambil data kadar albumin dan lama hari rawat inap pasien. Hasil kadar albumin dan lama hari rawat inap ini dibandingkan dan dianalisis dengan uji statistik chi square menggunakanIBM SPSS versi 27.
Hasil : Pada penelitian ini 67,9% subjek berjenis kelamin perempuan dengan kadar albumin 83,9% tidak normal. Lama hari rawat inap <5 hari sebanyak 64,3%. Dibandingkan antara kadar albumin dan lama hari rawat inap diperoleh nilai p = 0,093 (p>0,05).
Kesimpulan : Pada penelitian ini tidak terdapat hubungan antara kadar albumin dan lama hari rawat inap pada pasien ulkus diabetes mellitus di RSUD Dr M Yunus Bengkulu.
