Abstract

The increasing number of population in Indonesia every year which is followed by the conversion of agricultural land into residential land in urban areas causes a decrease in agricultural land, so that the production of land spinach decreases. The composition of the growing media for cow manure used is expected to have an effect on the growth of spinach. This study aims to see whether the pseudo-trunk of the banana tree is suitable as a pot for the growth of land spinach and to determine the composition of the planting medium that is suitable for the growth and production of land spinach in a banana tree pot. This training was carried out at the muara Bangkahulu, Bengkulu City. This type of training is a tutorial that is carried out directly with the community, by making pots directly with the addition of soil media and observing the growth of land spinach on banana tree pseudo-stem planting media. In the training that has been carried out, it is found that the use of banana pseudo stems is better than polybags and is better in terms of economic, agronomic, and environmental.The recommendation for the future is to do training with pots from pseudo-trunk banana trees but other types of vegetables.
