This observational analytic study employed a cross-sectional design and included 63 elderly individuals aged 60–69 years with normal BMI based on Asian adult standards. Participants were selected through simple random sampling. Lower limb muscle endurance was assessed using the 30-Second Chair Stand Test (30s-CST), while functional mobility was measured using the Timed Up and Go Test (TUGT). Data were analyzed using the Spearman’s Rho correlation test due to non-normal distribution. The Spearman’s correlation test showed a strong and statistically significant negative correlation between lower limb muscle endurance and functional mobility (r = -0.535, p = 0.000). Participants with higher repetition counts in the 30s-CST completed the TUGT in shorter times, indicating better mobility performance. There is a significant inverse relationship between lower limb muscle endurance and functional mobility in older adults. Routine assessment and targeted interventions focusing on muscle endurance should be integrated into geriatric healthcare programs to enhance mobility and reduce fall risk.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 I Putu Wahyu Mahendra, Luh Putu Ratna Sundari, Nur Basukihttps://ejournal.unib.ac.id/kinestetik/article/view/42685The Influence of Self-Confidence on the Peak Performance of Male Futsal Athletes in Division 1 AFK Clubs in Semarang City2025-06-25T05:14:10+00:00Muhammad Akmaluddin Haqqhaqqakmal@gmail.com
This study aims to examine the effect of self-confidence on the peak performance of futsal athletes in the Division 1 AFK Club of Semarang City in 2024. The research approach used is a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design, namely the collection of quantitative data first through a Likert scale questionnaire to 18 physical education teachers, then followed by in-depth interviews with 16 teachers who experienced the most dominant obstacles. The results of the quantitative analysis show that most of the 9 physical education teachers face obstacles in the medium category with a percentage 50%, with the main obstacles being a lack of facilities and facilities, low student participation, and lack of support from families. Meanwhile, qualitative data confirm that although teacher motivation is quite high, the implementation of monitoring sports activities and the use of supporting technology is still limited. The conclusions of this study emphasize the importance of collaboration between teachers, schools, parents, and the government in supporting the program. Efforts to increase teacher capacity through training, provision of adequate sports facilities, and the integration of sports habits into the curriculum and overall school culture are the main recommendations. The results of this research are expected to be used as a basis for consideration in designing strategic policies to strengthen character education through sustainable physical activities in the elementary school environment.
2025-06-26T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Khairul Tamami, Mashud, Recky Ahmad Haffyandihttps://ejournal.unib.ac.id/kinestetik/article/view/42462Analysis Of The Dominant Physical Condition Of The Academy Utama Raya2025-06-13T03:11:32+00:00muhammad rayyis shalihinmuhammadrayyiss07@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the dominant physical condition of young players at Academy Utama Raya, with a primary focus on four physical components: speed, endurance, agility, and explosive power. This study combines a correlational strategy with a quantitative approach. Using a simple random selection method, a sample of 30 students was selected from a population of 90 students. The Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) is used to measure the level of physical fitness of students aged 13 to 15 years, and the results of odd semester report cards are used to collect data on PJOK learning outcomes. Because the PJOK learning achievement data is not normally distributed, the normality test and the Spearman's rho nonparametric correlation test were used to analyze the data. The results showed that although the good group (83%) dominated PJOK's academic achievement, most of the students' physical fitness levels were in the moderate (43%) and poor (47%) categories. Physical fitness levels and PJOK learning outcomes had a strong and substantial positive relationship, according to the findings of the Spearman correlation test, which showed a coefficient value of 0.710 with a significance level of 0.000. Gadget Use and Elementary Students' Sports Motivation2025-06-02T03:16:19+00:00Riyana Syarifsyarief5501@upi.eduIndra Safariindrasafari77@upi.eduAam Ali Rahmanalirahman@upi.edu
This study investigated the relationship between gadget use and elementary school students’ motivation to participate in physical education. Concerns have been raised among parents and teachers regarding the potential negative impacts of excessive gadget use on students’ learning interest. Using a quantitative approach, this study examined students from a public elementary school in Tanjungsari, Sumedang, who were selected based on their observed low motivation in physical education lessons. Data were collected through surveys and interviews with physical education teachers to assess students’ gadget use patterns and their motivation levels in physical education activities. The findings revealed a significant negative correlation, indicating that increased gadget use was associated with decreased motivation for physical education. Excessive screen time can contribute to reduced physical activity and lack of enthusiasm for exercise. To address this issue, parents are encouraged to regulate screen time, create a balanced routine that includes outdoor activities, and serve as role models for an active lifestyle. Meanwhile, physical education teachers should design more interactive and engaging physical education lessons to rekindle students’ interest. Future research should explore effective pedagogical strategies and intervention programs that can improve students’ motivation and participation in physical education.
2025-06-22T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Riyana Syarif, Indra Safari, Aam Ali Rahmanhttps://ejournal.unib.ac.id/kinestetik/article/view/40889Comparison Of Boomerang Run And Hexagon Drill Training On Badminton Athletes' Footwork2025-03-21T07:14:34+00:00
This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design to analyze the effect of Boomerang Run and Hexagon Drill training on badminton athletes' footwork. The method in this study uses a quantitative pre-experimental one-group pretest and posttest method. Based on the results of the normality test, it is known that the overall pretest data is 0.179 and the posttest is 0.050>0.05, which are normally distributed. Then, in the next test using the homogeneity test, it was found that the significance value (Sig) Based on Mean was 0.987 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the variance of the experimental group data is the same or homogeneous. Then, it was tested using the paired sample T test, and it was found that the Sig. value showed a result of 0.021<0.05, which means that H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected. Then, in the regression analysis, an R-Square value of 0.386 was obtained. This indicates that 38.6% of the variability in the dependent variable (post-test) can be explained by the independent variable (pre-test), while the remaining 61.4% is influenced by other factors or contributions from other variables. Conclusion, that the results of sprint running learning can be influenced by the fishnet game.
2025-03-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Syamsul Jabbar Alamsyahhttps://ejournal.unib.ac.id/kinestetik/article/view/40696The Influence Of Plyometric Training On 50-Meter Freestyle Swimming Speed At Adyas Aquatics Club Sumedang2025-03-20T04:32:19+00:00
This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric training to increase 50 meter freestyle swimming speed at the Adyas Aquatik Sumedang club.
