Abstract

Komunikasi yang baik didasarkan pada kepercayaan. Kepercayaan dapat meningkatkan keterbukaan, menciptakan hubungan komunikasi yang efektif dan harmonis. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pola komunikasi santri dan musyrif (pembina asrama) di Pondok Pesantren Al Azhar Yogyakarta. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori komunikasi interpersonal yang mengkaji hubungan komunikasi sosial antar individu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi antara santri dan musyrif berupa komunikasi langsung dua arah dan komunikasi tidak langsung tiga arah sebagai komunikasi yang mendominasi. Pola yang terbentuk adalah pola internal, pola intervensi, dan pola jalur otoritas. Pola-pola ini menggunakan varietas yang berbeda, yaitu varietas resmi, ilmiah dan akrab.
