Abstract

When it comes to selecting poetry for their attractiveness, significance, and diction, students' abilities to create poems are still lacking. One approach to enhancing it is to incorporate a project-based learning paradigm into guidance poetry as a set of tasks. This is why we are doing research at SMP Negeri 04 Kepahiang to find out how the project-based learning approach affects the composition skills of seventh grade A students' advice poems. Experimental approaches and a quantitative approach are employed in this work. A pretest-posttest design with one group was utilized. All 25 students enrolled in seventh grade at SMP Negeri 04 Kepahiang make up the study's population. The students were selected at random. The essay exam approach is used in the data collecting technique. Statistical methods for analyzing data include the t-test and the shapiro-Wilk test for normality. The study found that between the pretest and posttest, participants' scores increased from 49.12 to 77.32 on average. In the project-based learning model, students go through a series of steps that include being introduced to problems through basic questions, creating a project design, creating a work plan, implementing and monitoring the project, presenting the results for testing, and finally, reflecting on and evaluating the experience. The study's findings indicate that the project-based learning paradigm does have an effect on the capacity to compose poetry offering wise counsel. The results of the t-test and t-table indicate that there is an impact of the project-based learning model on the capacity to create advise poetry. The t-count is more than the t-table, which suggests that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Topics covered include the power of persuasion, the capacity to compose advice poetry, kids in junior high, and the project-based learning paradigm.
