STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS TERUMBU KARANG DI PERAIRAN DESA MALAKONI PULAU ENGGANO
Abstract
Ekosistem terumbu karang hampir tersebar di sepanjang pantai Desa Malakoni dimana kondisinya cukup baik sehingga ikan karang dan megabenthos yang ada di sana cukup berlimpah dan beragam. Masyarakat yang ada di desa ini memanfaatkan potensi sumberdaya yang berasosiasi dengan terumbu karang seperti ikan karang, teripang dan kerang-kerangan sebagai salah satu sumber pangan utama.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas terumbu karang di perairan Malakoni Enggano.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode surveidi bulan Agustus 2020 pada kedalaman 3 m dan 7 m di Manuhe, Humo, Dusun Kandang dan Trans Malakoni.Metode pengamatan yang digunakan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas terumbu karang yaitu metode Transek Garis Menyinggung atau Line Intercept Transect (panjang 55 m). Terdapat 49 jenis (spesies) scleractinia yang termasuk kedalam 27 marga dan 14 famili serta 1 jenis (spesies) non scleractinia. Tutupan karang di perairan Malakoni termasuk dalam kategori sedang hingga baik (41,56%-52,2%) dengan rata-rata 46,93%.
