Studi Komparatif Ektoparasit pada Ayam Eksotis Domestikasi dengan Sistem Manajemen Intensif di Bengkulu
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April sampai bulan Mei 2019. Dengan tujuan untuk untuk mengkomparatifkan ektoparasit yang terdapat pada ayam eksotis yaitu pada ayam burgo, ayam ketarras dan ayam kampung pada sistem pemeliharaan intensif yang sama di Commercial Zone and Animal Laboratory (CZAL) Universitas Bengkulu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling yaitu investigasi ektoparasit yang terdapat pada 3 jenis ayam. Ketiga jenis tersebut yaitu ayam kampung, ayam burgo dan ayam kampung yang terdapat di Commercial Zone and Animal Laboratory (CZAL) Universitas Bengkulu.Ektoparasit dikoleksi langsung dari setiap individu ayam yang ditangkap dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh 5 jenis ektoparasit yaitu Echidnophaga gallinacea, Penicillidia dufourii, Lipeurus caponis, Menopon gallinae dan Rhipicephalus sanguineusdengan total ektoparasit 174 individu. Jumlah individu ektoparasit paling banyak ditemukan yaitu Menopon gallinae 68 individu, Echidnophaga gallinacea 25 individu, Rhipicephalus sanguineus 26 individu, Lipeurus caponis 42 individu, Penicillidia dufourii dan sebanyak 13 individu
