The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between Bukti Karya feature and Komunitas feature on PMM in developing the pedagogical competence of early childhood education teachers. The research uses a correlational quantitative approach and was conducted from March to July 2024. The sample consists of 45 teachers from Sekolah Penggerak TK/PAUD Batch 3 Kabupaten Bekasi in the Bekasi Regency. Data was collected from using a likert scale questionnaire via google forms. Through this research, the problem will be solved by using e-comic learning media integrated into marine thematic learning for children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Bhayangkari Ternate City. The research uses a mixed method. While the design used to develop teaching materials is the 4-D model design, the development stages used are the development stages of Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel (1974) which include four development stages namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data that has been collected using the instruments above is then analyzed quantitatively and directed to explain the validity of the comic media developed. Data from the validation of experts were analyzed by considering input, comments, and suggestions from validators. The results of the analysis were used as guidelines for revising the developed learning media. The data analysis methods used in this development research are the qualitative descriptive analysis method and the quantitative descriptive method. This method is used to process data from the results of linguists, learning media experts, and individual and small-group trial experts. To be able to support the learning process at PAUD Bhayangkari, the e-comic media goes through the expert validation test stage (media experts, linguists, PAUD material experts) as well as product trials (small group tests) where all three experts give very good or valid assessments and student responses as subjects classified as very good. From media experts, the percentage of validity obtained is 89.2, from users with a percentage of 98.33, linguists the percentage achieved is 100. From this analysis, as foundational years for cognitive and social development, early childhood education plays a pivotal role in shaping future learning experiences. Integrating engaging and relevant materials, such as e-comics, can enhance children's interest and understanding of marine themes.
2025-01-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Farida Samad, Rosita Wondal, Umikalsum Arfa, Rita Samad https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/potensia/article/view/38119 Balinese Language as a Second Language in Early Children Development: Identification of the Affecting Factors 2024-12-10T00:30:51+00:00 Ni Gusti Ayu Made Yeni Lestari yenilestari@uhnsugriwa.ac.id I Gusti Lanang Agung Wiranata agungwiranata@uhnsugriwa.ac.id
The utilization of the Balinese language among young children is an essential aspect to consider as it pertains to their ability to effectively engage with their surroundings. The study's participants consisted of five parents and two teachers of children in Group B2. The research method relied on interviews and documentation records, and the data were analyzed using taxonomic analysis. The findings of the study reveal that there are three primary factors that affect the use of Balinese in early childhood, which include language acquisition, language environment, and language learning. The environment, especially the family setting, plays the most crucial role in Balinese language usage. It is an attitude of certainty in one's abilities and pride in one's accomplishments. Nurturing self-confidence in early childhood is crucial for their future development. This study explores how wall climbing activities can promote self-confidence in young children. Wall climbing is a physical activity, sometimes considered an extreme sport, that involves scaling an artificial wall with artificial rock formations serving as handholds and footholds. Participating in wall climbing offers numerous benefits for young children, including building self-confidence. This qualitative study employed observation, interviews, and documentation to collect data. The research aims to investigate the role of wall climbing in fostering self-confidence in early childhood, identify factors that support children's self-confidence, and describe the challenges teachers face when implementing wall climbing activities at PAUD Sabila Ponorogo. The findings indicate that wall climbing can instill self-confidence in young children by fostering self-assurance, optimism, courage, a positive attitude, and initiative. Verbal encouragement from teachers and facilitators plays a vital role in supporting children's self-confidence, especially when they experience doubt or fear. A key challenge identified was the climbing wall's design, which was deemed unappealing and unsuitable for young children. Therefore, a redesign is recommended to make the wall more engaging and challenging for this age group
2025-01-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Rizqia Putri Aziza, Betty Yulia Wulansari, Ida Yeni Rahmawati https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/potensia/article/view/37511 Kemampuan Matematika Permulaan Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun 2025-01-08T12:45:58+00:00 Reyzia Anggriani Hasnur reyanggriani800@gmail.com Febry Maghfirah febrymaghfirah@fkip.unmul.ac.id Wilda Isna Kartika wildakartika@fkip.unmul.ac.id
This study aims to describe the mathematical abilities of 5-6-year-old children in kindergartens across Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict. The 2018 and 2022 PISA results indicate that Indonesia's mathematical abilities are still below the global average (around 500) (L. Sulistyo & Dwidayati, 2021). This problem is also found in several kindergartens in Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict, with some teachers reporting difficulties in students' ability to sequence numbers 1 through 20. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey research design. Data were collected through questionnaires given to kindergarten teachers who teach 5-6-year-old children (Group B) in Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict. The number of participants in this study was 100 children. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 22.0. The results showed that the early mathematical abilities of 5-6-year-old children in Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict still need to be improved. The average score of children's abilities on the 22 items observed was 2.01, which indicates that children's abilities are still in the "Beginning to Develop" stage. Specifically, children's abilities in mentioning numbers 1-20 (average score: 2.03), counting the number of objects in the picture (average score: 1.85), and showing numbers (average score: 2.1) are also still in the "Beginning to Develop" stage. This questionnaire includes questions about number recognition, simple addition, and other basic math concepts.
