Guidelines for Authors 

Jurnal Vokasi Keperawatan (JVK) is a journal of scientific publications published every six months using a peer review system for article selection. Jurnal Vokasi Keperawatan (JVK) Nursing Journals are intended for practitioners, academics, professionals, students or among the general public who are involved and interested in the development of Health and Nursing Science. It can receive relevant articles in the field of health and nursing, which includes research articles.

General Instructions

The articles received are original works, have not been and/or are in the process of being published in other journals, all articles have been approved by the ethics committee and articles involving human subjects have obtained informed consent and written following the American Psychological Association (APA) ) Edition 6 of 2009. The author should ensure that all co-authors have agreed. All articles will be discussed and reviewed by experts and editorial boards. Articles that need improvement or revision will be returned to the author.

Writing Article

The Articles should be written in Indonesia and are written using Times New Roman font, size 12 with space 1. The distance of the left edge is 4 cm, right edge 3 cm, edge above 3 cm and bottom edge 3 cm. Article lengths of at least 5 pages and a maximum of 20 pages. Article submitted in the form of layout 1 (one) column. The article contains one reference from JVK with Google scholar. Each page is numbered in sequence from the title page to the last page.

Structure Writing

The structure of writing in JVK is as follows: Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References. The following describes the guidelines for each writing structure:

Article Title (Capital Each Word, 14 Point Font, Boldface, Centered, Max 15 Words,  Times New Roman)

Abstract (12pt, Times New Roman, Bold Center )

Abstract for each article written in  English. The author's name (without academic title), affiliate author (department and institution name), email address, and institutional address are included in the abstract.

The abstract should be written using Times New Roman font, size 12pt, right justify, and one paragraph-unstructured with single spacing, completed with an English title written in bold at the beginning of the English abstract. The abstract should be no more than 250 words and one paragraph that include the background, methods, results, conclusions, and suggestions (implications) of the research.  The abstract is written in one space. The articles received are original research, have not been and/or are in the process of being published in other journals. The author should ensure that all co-authors have agreed. All articles will be discussed and reviewed by experts and editorial boards. Articles that need improvement or revision will be returned to the author.

Maximum of 5 keywords separated by comma (,), crucial to the appropriate indexing of the papers, are to be given and sorted alphabetically


The introduction should clearly describe the background of the study. This also defines the novelty of the research. The manuscript is written with Times New Roman font size 12, 1,5 spaced, left and right justified, paper in one column and on A4 paper. The distance of the left edge is 4 cm, the right edge is 3 cm, the edge above 3 cm and the bottom edge is 3 cm. Article lengths of at least 6 pages and a maximum of 20 pages. The article contains two references from Journal vokasi Keperawatan (JVK) with google scholar. Each page is numbered in sequence from the title page to the last page.


This section presents the research design, population, sample and sampling technique, and the analysis method. The author should explain how the study was done in detail. All articles have been approved by the ethics committee and articles involving human subjects have obtained informed consent. Ethics, validity, reliability, or trustworthiness should be part of this section.


The study findings should be clear and concise. If the findings are present in the table or diagram, there must not be any overlap between findings shown in the table/diagram and description that are written in the text. The tables are arranged in a row, each table should be briefly titled and placed on top of the table, the title of the table is written in capital letters at the beginning of the word, except for the foreground. The maximum number of tables in each article is 6 tables. Photos, pictures, and diagrams are arranged in sequence, given a short title and placed on the photo/drawing/diagram with a maximum of 3 pieces.


This should present the critical thinking and author’s analysis of the study results. Interpreting and comparing between study’s results and existing knowledge is significant in this section. Reasons for the results and implications of Nursing knowledge should be discussed.    


Highlights of the study findings are present in this section. Then followed by the main conclusion of the research. Limitations and future research should be mentioned.


References are written in alphabetical order. Minimum referral number 50% taken from the journal. Year published 80% reference minimal from last 10 years. Avoid referral in the form of personal communication (personal communication). The article contains two references from Jurnal vokasi keperawatan (JVK) with Google scholar. The article must be submitted in the format described in the American Psychological Association  (APA) style (6th ed., 2009).
