DAMPAK PERUBAHAN STATUS DESA MENJADI KELURAHAN DALAM PELAYANAN PUBLIK DI KABUPATEN SELUMA (Studi Kasus Di Kelurahan Talang Saling Kecamatan Seluma Kota)

Abstract

One problem that can arise in providing services to the community is the inability of the new kelurahan to serve the community well. This study aims to determine the process of changing a village to a sub-district and the impact of changing the status of the village in Seluma Kota District. In carrying out this research the authors used survey methods and descriptive analysis methods, where the survey method is a research by taking samples from a population and observation and interviews as data collection techniques. Information from some of the population, in this case the sample of respondents is collected directly at the scene of the incident systematically with the aim of knowing and predicting some aspects of the behavior of the population concerned. Based on the results of the above research, it can be concluded that efficiency time, efficiency  cost, transparency of the apparatus, and security conditions, the convenience of services provided by the Talang Saling village officials have been carried out well. Although there are still many services that have not been implemented optimally. It is better if to improve services in Talang Saling sub, the Head of Village and the community must work together in determining administrative costs and wages for officers in -districtmanaging correspondence in the Kelurahan, the costs should be adjusted to the capacity of the community in general, so that the community as a whole can enjoy services evenly, proposing facilities and infrastructure for the Talang Saling village, both the village office building, the school road health center and other infrastructure, so that the government hears it and services to the community can be provided as best as possible.
