The Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGOAP) is an open access, and peer-reviewed journal. Our main goal is to bridge the research results of undergraduate, master and lecturer students and disseminate current articles from researchers and practitioners on various public issues: public administration, public policy, politics, public management, public policy innovation, local politics, public services, local government, electronic governance & governance, democracy and the implementation of local.
Manuscripts submitted to JGAP will undergo a selection and evaluation process by the Editorial Board to ensure compliance with the writing guidelines, focus and scope, and that the text has good academic quality. Manuscripts will be reviewed using a dual peer review method in which the authors and reviewers do not know each other's identities.
Review the table. At the desk review stage, manuscripts will be examined to ensure that they meet the writing guidelines, focus, and scope of good academic quality. If they do not meet the requirements, the writer will be given the opportunity to revise their manuscript according to the criteria given. However, there is also the possibility that the text will be immediately rejected.
Peer review. When the manuscript has passed the literature review stage, the manuscript will be sent to two reviewers who are experts in the field of the manuscript submitted. The review process will take place in 2 weeks. Manuscripts that did not make it through the literature review process will not continue to this stage.
Decision of reviewers. The reviewer will provide the following recommendations:
The reviewers' decision will be considered by the Editor's Board to determine the next process of the manuscript.
Revision Stage. After the manuscript is received with a small or large revised notation, the manuscript will be returned to the author with a summary review form. For texts received with major revisions, the author is given 3 weeks to revise. As for the manuscripts received with minor revisions, 1 week is allocated for revision. When returning a revised text, the author is required to fill out and attach a summary review form.
Final decision. At this stage, the manuscript will be re-evaluated by the Editor's Board to ensure that the authors have revised it in response to reviewers' concerns. In this final decision, the manuscript can still be rejected if the writer is not serious about making the necessary revisions.
Proofread. After the manuscript is deemed acceptable by the Editor's Board, it will undergo a proofreading process to maintain linguistic quality.
Confirm publication. At this stage, the final layout of the manuscript will be sent back to the author to ensure that the content is in accordance with the writer's writing. At this stage, the author can revise the typos found in the final manuscript. After confirmation from the author is given, the Editorial Secretary will process the manuscript for online publication on the website as well as print publications.
The Journal of Governance and Public Administration is a peer-reviewed and open access scientific journal that is published twice a year and managed by the Public Administration Magister of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Bengkulu University.
The Journal of Governance and Public Administration provides open access to its content instantly by adhering to the principle that making research freely available to the public will support global knowledge exchange. Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP) will undergo a blind review process. The reviewer is tasked with conducting a review that includes an analysis and assessment of the acceptance of the manuscript for publication in Public Governance and Public Administration (JGAP). The reviewer must consider the following before conducting the review:

2. Do you have time to review the script?
The review process must be completed within 2 weeks after the manuscript is sent. If you disagree with this condition and need more time to review, please contact the Editorial Team.

4. Is there an indication of plagiarism in the text?
If you suspect an indication of plagiarism in the text, please contact the Editorial Team immediately.
Content:
1. If the issue relating to the manuscript that was reviewed previously has been published, is that manuscript sufficient to guarantee publication?
2. Does the text contain new things, in-depth knowledge, and interesting points to guarantee publication?
3. Does the text contribute to the development of science?
4. Are the main theories or references used in line with research?
Method:
1. Does the author accurately describe how the data is collected?
2. Does the article answer the questions raised in the study?
3. Are new methods used? If there is a new method, is it explained in detail?
Results and Discussion:
The results must explain the writer's findings. This section must be written clearly in logical order. Reviewers need to consider if appropriate analysis has been carried out.
Conclusion:
The conclusion must contain recommendations and a research summary. The summary must have sample answers that fit the purpose of the study or the findings obtained. The summary may not contain a repeat of the results of the study or discussion. The recommendations given must correlate with the concept of the research being carried out or suggestions for improving research.
Tables and Figures:
The tables and figures presented must correlate with the article content and they must have a clear reference source (such as books, journals, websites, or other references)
Reference:
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is written in the reference list using the American Psychological Association (APA) style. The references used must be published in the last 10 years, consisting of 80% of journal articles and 20% of books, theses, or other related publications.
Writing style:
Please write your text in Indonesian according to KBBI, which is good, interesting to read and easy to understand, while the abstract is written in Indonesian and English.
Final Review:
1. An evaluation of the text review must be written in the Review Form sent by the Editorial Team
2. The reviewer is required to fill in the table marked with an asterisk.
3. At the end of the review, reviewers are asked to provide one of the following recommendations:
A. Received; means the manuscript is acceptable for publication
b. Accepted with minor revisions; means that the manuscript can be accepted for publication after being revised in response to
reviewers' concerns
c. Received with major revisions; means that substantive deficiencies in the manuscript, such as data analysis, the main theories used,
and rewriting paragraphs, need to be revised
d. Rejected; means that the manuscript is not acceptable for publication or commentary that is provided in connection with a very basic problem
4. After completing the review form, please fill in the reviewers' identities in the appropriate fields.
The Editorial Team of the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP) recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore establishes the following policy which states specific actions (punishment) if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP ).
Definition:
Plagiarism is the intentional or unintentional act of obtaining or trying to obtain credit or value for a scientific work, by quoting part or all of the work and / or scientific work of another party recognized as scientific work, without stating the source appropriately and adequately.
For this reason:
Articles must be original, have never been published, and are not in the process of waiting for publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it is different from the original text.
If plagiarism is identified, the Editor in Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve actions according to the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:
The level of plagiarism
1. Copying some short sentences from other articles without mentioning the source. Action: The author was given a warning and a request to change the text and quote correctly.
2. Copying most of the other articles without the right quote and not mentioning the source. Actions: Articles submitted are rejected for publication in the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP) and the author may be sanctioned for not being allowed to publish in the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP)
All article authors are responsible for the content of the articles they submit because they all signed the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP) Ethics Publication Statement Form. If the article is classified as plagiarism, then all writers will be subject to the same actions.
If the author is proven to submit a manuscript to the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP) by simultaneously sending also to other journals, and this overlap is found during the reviewer process or after publication, then given action according to point 2 above.
If plagiarism is found outside the rules above, the editor of the Journal of Governance and Public Administration (JGAP) has the right to impose sanctions according to the editors' policy.
