MANAGEMENT OF THE SCOUT EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAM IN ENHANCING STUDENTS' NON-ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AT SMA NEGERI MEGANG SAKTI

This study aims to evaluate the management of the Scout extracurricular program in enhancing students' non-academic achievements at SMA Negeri Megang Sakti. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The subjects of the study include the principal, the vice principal for student affairs, the Scout advisor teacher, and student leaders of the ambalan at SMA Negeri Megang Sakti, Musirawas Regency. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of the study show that the management of the Scout extracurricular program includes structured planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation, although it still faces challenges such as limited budget and student motivation. The program has proven to contribute to the development of students' leadership skills, discipline, and teamwork. This study recommends strengthening support from the school and parents to optimize the positive impact of the Scout extracurricular program on students' non-academic achievements.
