Abstract
Masyarakat pedesaan masih banyak yang belum mengetahui tentang pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang ada di sekitar lingkungan terutama beberapa jenis tanaman yang mengandung komponen dan manfaat yang baik untuk tubuh termasuk masyarakat yang ada di Desa Riak Siabun 1 Kecamatan Sukaraja Kabupaten Seluma Provinsi Bengkulu. Salah satu peranan Perguruan Tinggi dan mahasiswa yakni membantu dalam memberikan ilmu pengetahuan yang diperoleh selama perkuliahan ke pada masyarakat. Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) sebagai program intra kurikuler dilaksanakan sebagai salah satu perwujudan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi pemanfaatan jahe merah ini menjadi sirup jahe merah yakni agar masyarakat mengetahui bahwa tanaman jahe merah memiliki sejumlah manfaat kesehatan dan dapat diolah menjadi minuman fungsional kaya manfaat.
