Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan metode Ekspositori terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini yaitu penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment research) dengan desain the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu dengan dua kelas sampel yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling yaitu kelas VIII 4 (kelas eksperimen) dan VIII 5 (kelas kontrol) yang berjumlah masing-masing 30 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes hasil belajar. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 54,4 dan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 34,0. Hasil dari pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar dengan model Discovery Learning lebih baik dari hasil belajar matematika metode Ekspositori.
