Abstract
Peningkatan pemberian susu formula berdampak pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi menurun. Di Kota Palu tahun 2022 yang mendapat ASI eksklusif hanya sebesar 46,7% yang berarti ada 53,3% yang memberikan susu Formula pada bayi. Meningkatnya pemberian susu formula oleh sebagian masyarakat karena menganggap susu formula lebih baik daripada ASI. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan kesadaran akan pentingnya ASI eksklusif dan risiko pemberian susu formula. Pengabdian masyarakat ini diawali dengan melakukan pretest untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dan pemahaman awal tentang risiko pemberian susu formula pada bayi. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan mengedukasi ibu hamil tentang ASI eksklusif dan risiko pemberian susu formula pada bayi. Selanjutnya dilakukan diskusi Tanya jawab dan diakhiri dengan post test. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di tiga kelas ibu hamil yang masing-masing didampingi bidan desa sebagai penanggung jawab lokasi. Hasil pretest diperoleh 1 (3,3%) berpengetahuan baik, berpengetahuan sedang 23 (66%) dan berpengetahuan kurang 11 (31%). Pada post test diperoleh hasil 18(51%) berpengetahuan baik, 14 (40%) berpengetahuan sedang dan 3 (9%) berpengetahuan kurang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang resiko pemberian susu formula pada bayi. Disarankan bidan, tenaga kesehatan lainnya termasuk kader posyandu untuk selalu memberikan edukasi kepada ibu hamil tentang resiko pemberian susu formula.
