Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuanliterasi matematika terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalahpeserta didik kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalahpenelitian ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasidalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII. Sampel dalam penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII I yang berjumlah 24 orang dan kelas VIII J yang berjumlah 22 orang. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan 1 kali pertemuanpembelajaran dengan memberikan instrumen penelitian kepadamasing-masing kelas sampel. Data hasil penelitian denganmenggunakan analisis kovarian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruhkemampuan literasi matematika terhadap kemampuan pemecahanmasalah peserta didik sebesar 13,2% dan terdapat perbedaankemampuan pemecahan masalah antara kemampuan literasimatematika tinggi dan kemampuan literasi matematika rendahpeserta didik dengan nilai perbedaan sebesar 17,674.
