About JOALL (Journal of Applied Linguistics and Literature)

JOALL (Journal of Applied Linguistics and Literature) is a peer-reviewed professional journal with the editorial board of scholars mainly in the fields of applied linguistics, literature, and English language teaching (ELT). In its first three volumes, the journal is only mainly devoted to the articles of the Postgraduate Program of English Education students, Universitas Bengkulu. Then, in October 2018, the editorial members made a decision to accept articles all over the world.

The first issue was published in June 2016, under the legal decree of ISSN (print) 2502-7816 and ISSN (online) 2503-524X. This was four months late due to the lack of technical assistance for the journal. In order to deal with such challenges, the editorial board has put more effort into this journal. Since 16 February 2019, the journal has co-operated with a professional association, English Langauge Teaching Materials (ELTeam) to enhance the quality of the articles published on the website. See the memorandum of understanding.

Starting from volume 4(1): February 2019, the authors must follow the newest template of the journal that is available online on the website. Currently, JOALL has been indexed and abstracted in several indexing databases.
