Abstrak
Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalahapakah melalui metode SAS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca awal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca awal anak melalui metode SAS. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).Penelitian ini terbukti bahwa melalui metode SAS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca awal.Terbukti dari hasil rata-rata perkembangan membaca awal pada siklus I pertemuan keempat rata-rata mencapai 3,57 dan pada siklus ke II pertemuan ke empat rata-rata mencapai 4,26. Dari hasil penelitian ini maka disarankan kepada guru untuk menggunakan metode SAS.
