Author Guidelines

 

AUTHOR GUIDELINE

  1. The manuscript to be published to the Jurnal AGRISEP: Kajian Masalah Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian dan Agribisnis must be original, unpublished and not in the publishing process. The manuscript may be the result of research or theory review in the field of: agricultural and natural resources economy, agribusiness, rural sociology, agrarian studies, regional development, agricultural politics and policy, natural resource and environmental management, as well as agricultural extension and communication.
  2. The manuscript format is prepared in English and written in a concise and precise manner.  Scriptwriting templates can be accessed and downloaded on https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PnQwyGb5WR-NwQRYP3BPcpj2XKrN9RgA
  3. The manuscripts are arranged in the order of titles (capital letters) in English, author names without title and affiliation and email correspondence of author, abstract and keywords, introductions, research methods, results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions, as well as a bibliography. Sub-sections can be added as needed. Systematics of writing is not required numbering in each chapter.
  4. The abstract consists of 150-250 words, typed one space consisting of problems, objectives, methods, results and conclusions, written in English and ndonesian language. After the abstract should be written keywords that fit the topic of research.
  5. All tables and figures should be given a title in the text and numbered in Arabic numerals as well as added captions if required.
  6. An author wishing to submit a paper to the Jurnal AGRISEP: Kajian Masalah Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian dan Agribisnis should send it by email to jurnalagrisep@unib.ac.id. All correspondence, including notification of the Editor's decision and requests for revision, takes place electronically.
  7. Article Categories: Authors must categorize their paper as part of the article information. The category which most closely describes their paper should be selected from the list below.
    • Research paper. This category covers papers which report on any type of research undertaken by the authors. The research may involve the construction or testing of a model or framework, action research, testing of data, market research or surveys, empirical, scientific or laboratory research. 
    • Technical paper. Describes and evaluates technical products, processes or services. 
    • Conceptual paper. These papers will not be based on research but will develop hypotheses. The papers are likely to be discursive and will cover philosophical discussions and comparative studies of others' work and thinking. 
    • Case study reports. Case studies describe actual interventions or experiences within organizations. They may well be subjective and will not generally report on research. A description of a legal case or a hypothetical case study used as a teaching exercise would also fit into this category. 
  8. Revised manuscript. The author has to revise the manuscript at least 1 month after being received from the Jurnal AGRISEP: Kajian Masalah Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian dan Agribisnis journal management team (first edited paper). Papers sent back to the Journal management team after one month are considered new submissions. Revised printed manuscripts must be re-submitted 1 week after received from journal management team.
  9. The bibliography or References are arranged alphabetically from the first and the next author.

    The references should be within the last 10 years with at least 85% journal (primary) references. The number of references included throughout the main manuscript comes from at least 25 citations. It is highly recommended to cite references from the journal agrisep. All references are listed in alphabetical order using the American Psychological Association 6th edition (APA) style. Check each reference against the original source (author name, volume, issue, year, DOI Number). Authors are highly required to use “Mendeley Reference Manager”.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Guideline for Online Submission

    The author should first register as Author and is offered as a Reviewer through the following address: https://ejournal.unib.ac.id/index.php/agrisep/user/register The author should fulfil the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to the online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start, a New Submission section, click on ’ Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in the online submission process:

    1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: The author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste the cover letter to “Comments for the Editor”.
    2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded. 
    3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including the marked corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
    4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed the Statement of Originality Form. Therefore, click on the Browse button, choose the files, and then click on the Upload button.
    5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to  Jurnal AGRISEP, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site. 
    After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process. If authors have any problems with the online submission, please contact Editorial Office at the following email: jurnalagrisep@unib.ac.id.

  2. As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

    1. The manuscript fits the Aims and Scope of Jurnal AGRISEP
    2. The research is original and has not been published previously – Please see “Statement of Originality”
    3. The manuscript is prepared in accordance with author guidelines and template
    4. The text is written in good English language
    5. Manuscript text is divided into numbered sections; line and page numbers are added and text is double spaced
    6. An ethical statement is required for experiments involving humans or animals
    7. Conflict of interest statement is included at the end of the manuscript
    8. The number of figures and tables combined does not exceed a total of 6; additional tables and figures can be submitted as supplementary material
    9. All relevant and update references should be provided in the Reference list
    10. The cover letter is prepared, introducing your article and explaining the novelty of the research
    11. Please make sure that authors understand and follow these terms before proceeding with the next step in article submission. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). Articles published in conferences will need to be altered prior to submission with at least 25% differences to the original paper, and pass our similarity check.
    12. Authors are bound to our Plagiarism Policy, thus careful considerations should be done prior to submitting the article. In any circumstances that Journal AGRISEP found article has or being published elsewhere which is identical to the one published in Jurnal AGRISEP, we will retract the article following COPE's guidelines on retracting articles and notify the author.
    13. The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format, following the author guideline and article template. Please make sure that you use Mendeley to help in referencing. A guide to using Mendeley as a reference manager is provided. Failure to follow the guidelines will cost you time and perhaps a rejection of your manuscripts.
    14. Where available, URLs or DOIs for the references must be provided, and try to use the most up-to-date references. Do pay attention that Jurnal AGRISEP prefers journal articles as references.
