Author Guidelines

 Author Guidelines

1. Author has to register before online submission

2. The article written  in accordance with the focus and scope of the Jurnal

    Sosiologi Nusantara

3. The article written has to be in accordance with the writing guidelines

    provided from Jurnal Sosiologi Nusantara.

4. The text of article is written in Ms.Word form with the guidelines as follow:

    written on A4 paper with the margin of:  Left (4 cm), Right (3 cm),Top (3

    cm), Bottom (3 cm), the length of the article was 8-25 pages.

5. The article has to be written in accordance with the guidelines as follow:

A. Title

The title contains no more than 16 words. The title is in  English. Written in format of Times New Roman size 16; capitalise the each first word only.

 B. Author Information

Information about author’s complete name written without degree, and attached with author’s email address and author’s affiliation (Name of Department, Faculty Name, University Name, City Name, Country Name). It is written with the format of   : Font 10, Cambria)

 C. Abstract

The abstract should inform to the reader about the background, purpose of the research, methods, finding, and brief conclusions related to the research conducted. Abstract should write in English with Font size 12, Times New Roman, and single spacing. Abstract should write with simple and explicit description to describe the main article. Abstract maximum 250 words.

 D. Introduction

The introduction section is written explicitly which contains the background of the problem, the focus of the problem, the purpose of the research,state of the art and the theory used as the basis for analysis. Contains the background and objectives of the research described in paragraphs without numbering, in this section the writing uses font 12 Times New Roman, with 1.5 spaces.

 E. Method

The research method section contains the research approach taken, research location, data sources, population and research samples, data collection techniques, data analysis that are actually carried out by researchers and described in paragraphs without numbering. In this section, the writing uses font 12 Times New Roman with 1.5 spaces.

 F. Result And Discussion

This section contains the results and analysis based on the theory used in the research conducted by the researcher. In this section, the writing uses Font 12, Times New Roman, with 1.5 spaces. The author can make subtitles and numbering in this section. Citation is done using bodynote and refers to the writing rules with the ASA (American Sociology Association) style. The length of the description of research results and discussion is 40-60% of the content of the entire article. Tables, graphs, figures, and interview quotes can follow the following conditions :

  • The word “Image” and the image number (use 1, 2, 3, ...) can be centered at the top of the image, followed by the image title on the next line. The source is placed at the bottom of the figure and written in the middle.
  • The word “Table” and the table number (use 1, 2, 3, ...) can be centered at the top of the table body, followed by the table title on the next line. Sources are placed at the bottom of the table and centered. Tables are single-spaced and made using horizontal lines only. Table writing must be on the same page.
  • Interview quotes used must be clear and accompanied by a source. Written in direct speech, single-spaced and italicized.

 G. Conclusion

This section contains a summary of research purpose and the research results drawing conclusions results in new findings that are accurate and profound. It contains conclusions and suggestions that are clearly outlined in paragraphs. In this section, the writing uses Font 12, Times New Roman, with 1.5 spaces.

 H. Bibliography

This section contains the literature used by researchers. The bibliography written is the reference source used in the text / writing. Reference sources must 85% from prime sources like books, journal, etc. The number of references is at least 15 sources from journal articles and a maximum of published in the last 5 years. The bibliography is typed using Times New Roman font and spaced between each library source using 1.5 spaces. Bibliography and reference management can use applications such as Mendeley and so on. The bibliography can be compiled using the ASA (American Sociological Association).

6. The authors who submit the article to Jurnal Sosiologi Nusanatra are expected to obey Publication Ethics. 

7. The authors who submit the article to Jurnal Sosiologi Nusanatra are expected to fulfill the Statement of Originality

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. In submitting process, the authors are obliged to obey the writing guideline. If the article is not suitable with the guidelines, it will be returned to the authors.

  2. The article submitted is never being published or submitted to other publishers.

  3. The article should be in a form of Ms.Word file.

  4. The articles submitted have to be in accordance with the template of Jurnal Sosiologi Nusantara, including the style of biography explained in Writing Guideline

  5. The length of the article is around 8-25 pages

  6. In submitting the article authors can use application such as Mendeley, use endnote to manage the reference. In writing the article authors use ASA (American Sociology Association)  style.
