Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO/IEC 17025 pada laboratorium diagnosa penyakit ikan di negara berkembang, dengan fokus pada tantangan dan strategi yang dihadapi. Melalui tinjauan literatur komprehensif, studi ini mengidentifikasi berbagai hambatan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya, infrastruktur yang tidak memadai, dan kurangnya keahlian teknis. Strategi yang diusulkan meliputi pengembangan kapasitas, kolaborasi internasional, dan adaptasi standar sesuai konteks lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun implementasi ISO/IEC 17025 menghadapi tantangan signifikan, manfaatnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan reliabilitas layanan laboratorium sangat penting bagi perkembangan akuakultur dan keamanan pangan di negara berkembang.
