Penelitian ini mengkaji pengembangan model kompetensi bagi pengelola laboratorium multidisiplin dengan fokus pada studi kasus di Asia Tenggara. Melalui tinjauan literatur komprehensif, studi ini mengidentifikasi kompetensi kunci yang diperlukan untuk manajemen laboratorium yang efektif di era teknologi modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pentingnya integrasi keterampilan teknis, manajerial, dan interpersonal dalam model kompetensi. Studi ini juga mengungkapkan tantangan unik yang dihadapi oleh laboratorium multidisiplin di Asia Tenggara, termasuk kebutuhan akan standardisasi, peningkatan infrastruktur teknologi, dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Model kompetensi yang diusulkan menekankan pada kepemimpinan adaptif, manajemen kualitas, literasi digital, dan kolaborasi lintas disiplin. Implikasi penelitian ini signifikan bagi pengembangan kebijakan dan program pelatihan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan laboratorium di kawasan tersebut.
